Last Wednesday night, a storm rolled through western Colorado with the potential for considerable snowfall. On Thursday, I woke up to 12" overnight snow on top of 11" the day before. With I-70 closed early in the morning and long before any Denver commuters would be making their way to the mountains, I enjoyed an incredible powder day at Vail where the average lift line lasted exactly 2.7 seconds and crowds had the day off.
